Protesting
This protest was one of the largest of the Suffrage Movement. Timing was everything for them because it was the day before Woodrow Wilson was going to be in office as our president in 1913.
They had picked that day because everybody was int own for the inauguration the next day, and they wanted everybody to see them protest. Many of the women/protesters were assaulted during their protest. The attacks had broken out into a spitting and throwing objects. "While the women were injured and the public violence had translated to a wider support for the women."
A second most legendary protest was by second wave feminists, this protest took place Sept. 7, 1968. Outside of the Alantic City Convention Center women protested about the pageant's promotion of "Ludicrous Beauty".
